What Vunki is

Vunki is a platform for building and running GPS games: checkpoints on a map, questions to answer, and teams competing from their phones. Players join with a link or a QR code; they need no account and no app store.

Your contract is with Ornion OÜ (registry code 14129140), registered in Estonia. You can reach us at support@govunki.com.

Your account

Buying anything requires an account with a confirmed email address. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account; if you think someone else has your password, change it and tell us.

We can suspend an account that is used to break these terms or the law, and we will tell you why. Suspension does not cancel money you are owed: unused credit stays refundable, by email if you can no longer reach your Billing page.

What it costs

Building and testing games is free, without limit; a test session holds up to 3 teams. You pay when real teams play.

We bill by team, and a team is one device, however many people share it. A game costs €19.95, which covers up to 5 teams, then €3.99 for each team beyond that. For very large events, checkout stops and hands you over to us for a quote instead.

Prices are in euros. No VAT is added: Ornion is not registered for VAT in Estonia.

Monthly plans

A plan covers every game you run, up to its team cap: €99.90 a month for up to 5 teams per game, €299.90 a month for up to 25. One larger game does not need a bigger plan; it tops up at €3.99 per extra team.

Plans renew monthly until you cancel. Canceling from your Billing page stops future charges and keeps the plan working to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not cut anyone off mid-month.

An upgrade applies immediately and charges only the difference for the days remaining. A downgrade waits until the period ends, so you never lose a cap a game already relies on.

If a renewal payment fails, the plan keeps working for 14 days while the card is retried. We write to you when the payment fails and again before the plan lapses. A game already published keeps the cap it was published with.

Refunds

A payment sits on its game as credit. When the game runs, it consumes the price of the teams that actually played; the rest remains yours. If you paid for 50 teams and 4 played, only the €19.95 base price is consumed, and the €179.55 you paid for extra teams remains as credit. If nobody plays, nothing is consumed.

Unused credit goes back to the card it came from, from your own Billing page, without asking us and without giving a reason. Every refund to a card gets a numbered credit note, and the money usually reaches the card within ten business days.

This goes further than the EU's 14-day right of withdrawal, which you keep in full: a plain email within 14 days of a purchase is enough, and for a monthly plan we then refund everything except the days already used. One practical limit: our payment system can return money to a card for about 180 days after the charge. After that, write to us and we will refund you by bank transfer instead — we may first check that the account really is yours.

How credit works

Credit is a refundable prepayment recorded against a game, not stored value we hold for you to spend. You can move unused credit to another game and pay only the difference, or take it back to your card. Credit does not expire. It can only be spent on a game or refunded.

Games happen outdoors

You place the checkpoints, so you decide where people go. Think about traffic, water, private land, opening hours, and the weather on the day. Never place a checkpoint that requires trespassing to reach, or anywhere a person looking at a phone is in danger.

Players take part at their own risk and must follow the law and local rules while playing. If you run a game for a group, you are responsible for that group out in the world. We provide the software.

Your content

Questions, texts, and images you upload remain yours. You give us the permission needed to store them, back them up, and show them to your games' players. It ends when the content is deleted and the last backup of it is gone.

Upload only what you have the right to use, and nothing unlawful, hateful, or aimed at harassing a person. Anyone can report unlawful content to support@govunki.com. When we remove something, we tell the person who uploaded it what was removed and why, unless the law prevents it, and we can close an account behind repeated abuse.

What we are liable for

We work to keep Vunki available and your data intact, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. GPS accuracy, phone batteries, and mobile coverage are outside our control.

If we fail you, our liability is capped at what you paid us for the game or plan concerned. The cap never applies to harm to life or health, or to damage we cause deliberately or through gross negligence, and nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer. What happens outdoors during a game is the organizer's responsibility, not ours, unless we caused it.

Changes and governing law

We may change these terms and our prices. A change that affects a running subscription is announced at least 30 days ahead and applies from your next renewal at the earliest, so you can cancel before it takes effect for you. A change never applies retroactively to anything already paid for.

Estonian law governs these terms, and disputes go to Estonian courts. If you use Vunki as a consumer, this does not displace the protections of the country you live in: you may also bring a claim at home, or take a dispute to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee first.
